Teen critically injured in crash involving box truck

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A 16-year-old was seriously injured in a crash at the intersection of Cumberland Dr. and Crestmore Dr. Monday around 6:12 a.m.

Clarksville police said a 16-year-old male, driving a Chevy Silverado pickup, pulled out of Crestmore Dr. onto Cumberland Dr. and failed to yield to an oncoming box truck driven by 28-year-old man.

The impact of the collision caused both vehicles to leave the roadway.

The teen was transported by LifeFlight in critical but stable condition.

The road was fully opened to traffic around 9:40 a.m.
