CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Association for Down Syndrome (CADS) is now inviting SPED teachers to complete the Technology for Teachers Grant application for the Fall 2014.

Technology for Teachers is a grant-based initiative to provide teachers with tablet touch screen technologies to support the academic and social success of children with special needs. The technology must be used for developmental and educational activities which enhance the applicant’s ability to deliver instruction to students with special needs.

Applicants for the grant must indicate how the tool will be used in the classroom, including specific applications to achieve classroom goals. This program is open to Montgomery County and all surrounding counties special education teachers.

The grant application now available, and those interested will need to submit their completed ones by November 9th.

At this point, CADS has been able to give back 46 iPads to special education classrooms.
