NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The local chapter of Team Red, White and Blue (RWB) is collecting items for Christmas stockings to be delivered to the Nashville VA Hospital this Saturday.

Team RWB is a national non-profit dedicated to enriching the lives of veterans and connecting them to their communities. There are currently more than 125 chapters across the continental United States and in Hawaii, Alaska, and Europe with more than 55,000 members.

Locally, the chapter has more than 500 members across Middle Tennessee with the majority of participation in Clarksville. The organization also participates in fitness and social events.

“Visiting the VA Hospital is something I’ve done in the past, and it’s a rewarding experience for both visitor and patient,” said Chris Lancia, Chapter Captain for Team RWB.

The stockings will be put together Wednesday and delivered to patients Saturday, filled with socks, fleece scarves, playing cards, sugar-free candy, deodorant, toothbrushes and toothpaste, lotions, lip balms, puzzle books, and similar items.

To make a donation, contact Lancia at chris.lancia@teamrwb.org.

Volunteers will meet at the VA Hospital campus Saturday at 10 a.m. to deliver 100 stockings and spend time with the patients.
