CLARKSVILLE, TN – In the wake of the early April flooding disaster in Clarksville, many volunteers from across the state have turned up to help the flood victims, including one Los Angeles based group: Team Rubicon.
Established in 2010, Team Rubicon just celebrated 15 years of helping people struck by natural disasters, both nationally and internationally. Volunteering for communities in need is how the “Greyshirts” remain active in serving the disaster-struck areas of the country. While lending a hand in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Team Rubicon became aware of the situation in Clarksville and want to help residents impacted by the flooding with work like roof tarping, debris cleanup and more.
Before work begins, the team conducts a site survey. Homeowners must fill out a “right of entry,” granting Team Rubicon permission to be on the property. All work is done free of charge and each volunteer is insured. To learn more about Team Rubicon, visit their website.
