CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Sam’s Club awarded teachers from Tennessee Ridge Elementary School with $50 reward cards on Wednesday, October 1. The cards are for the teachers to purchase classroom supplies to help students start the school year off right. The educators were honored as part of Sam’s Club Teacher Rewards Program.

Teachers recognized were Carolyn Fish, Barbara Ungetheim, Tracy Clardy, Shirley McWhorter, Lorrie Cooksey, Dee Browning, Kelly Brown, Wilma Warden, Tiffany Hooper, Stephanie Davis, Angie Baggett, Jessica Tomlinson, Angie Sutton, Dixie Clemmons, Scott Moore, Susan Embach and Carlatta Torres. Principal Rob Randolph joined teachers for their recognition.

The funds come at a critical time, as many teachers going back to school will spend an estimated $1,000 of their own money to make sure their students have the supplies they need to learn throughout the school year. The reward money will be used to buy items like paper, folders, binders, pencils, crayons and markers for students.
