NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Tennessee Department of Health reported higher numbers of COVID-19 in their March 31 release. Tennessee has seen an increase of 405 positive coronavirus cases, with a total of 2,239 people infected.

This comes just one day after Governor Lee issued Executive Order 22, a “Safer at Home” request urging non-essential businesses close temporarily.

This order does not go far enough, insist healthcare professionals across the state. Over 2,000 doctors, nurses, and medical professionals have signed letters urging the governor to mandate a ‘Shelter in Place’ directive, which would require residents stay home and stop going out to public places unnecessarily.
