CLARKSVILLE, TN – Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Dickson’s Clarksville campus is proud to announce the launch of its highly anticipated Criminal Justice Correctional Officer program.

Tailored to meet the demands of today’s dynamic law enforcement landscape, this program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in the field of corrections.

Program highlights

Faculty and Facilities: Faculty members bring real-world experience to the classroom, providing students with insights into the intricacies of the criminal justice system. The program is conducted at the Clarksville campus ensuring students have access to the latest technologies and resources.

Hands-On Training: Students will engage in practical exercises, simulations, and on-site visits to correctional facilities, allowing them to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios.

Comprehensive Curriculum: The program covers a wide range of topics, including criminal law and procedures, inmate management, crisis intervention, ethical standards, and more.

Industry-Relevant Certifications: Students will have the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certifications, providing them with a competitive edge in the job market such as AHA First Aid/CPR AED, Tennessee Correction Institute Basic Certification.

Job Placement Assistance: The program includes job placement assistance, resume-building workshops, and networking opportunities.
