NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) took to social media to dispel rumors of terrorist threats planned for Black Friday, according to WKRN News 2.
The agency says people have been posting on Facebook claiming the TBI is putting police, fire, and first responders in the state to alert them to a credible threat planned for Black Friday in Tennessee.
The bureau released a statement saying the “information did not originate from TBI, nor are agents from TBI making such calls.”
The TBI urged residents to remain aware of their surroundings.
