CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – On Thursday Jan. 4, Tap House 57 Hockey Club and the Nashville Fire Department will be playing a benefit hockey game to raise money for the families that lost their homes in the Clarksville tornado.
The game is free and open to the public and will include raffles, merchandise, a photo booth, and DJ. All proceeds from the game will be donated to the families and community that lost so much last month. Attendees are encouraged to bring items like new toys, home goods, gift cards, clothing, blankets, toiletries and canned food.
The game will be a fun atmosphere for the community to interact with their first responders and other members of local government, explains Josh Tobin, Captain of Tap House 57 Hockey Club.
The Tap House Hockey Club is a veteran and active duty team. “Some guys on our team were affected by the tornado, or at least know somebody who was,” Tobin said. “The goal is to give back to the community just as they have to our team.”
Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the puck drop at 7:30 p.m., at the Ford Ice Center, 150 College St.
