Tanker truck explosion reported in Nashville

Explosion occurred near Centennial Blvd.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A tanker truck exploded Wednesday afternoon near the intersection of 61st Avenue North and Centennial Blvd. west of downtown Nashville.

WKRN News 2 reports that no injuries were reported but nearby buildings including a church daycare were evacuated.

Thick black smoke could be seen from miles away.

There is no further information at this time.
