Tandy Jean “Jeeter” Appleton Black, age 77, of Clarksville, passed away Friday, August 30, 2024, at her home.
Tandy was born February 10, 1947, in Montgomery County, TN to Anne Blackwell Plymale and the late Glen Appleton.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Black; daughter, Billie Jane “Sissy” Black and great grandson Xavion Bell; two brothers, Rocky Appleton and Daniel Appleton. Survivors include a son, Glendon Monroe (Amie) Black; daughter, Sheryl Anne Appleton-Black; brothers, Glen Appleton Jr. and Jon Appleton; sisters, Glenda Appleton Clardy, Kelly Appleton, Gwen Appleton Griffy, Lisa Appleton Barton, Mary Katherine Appleton Carlson, Michelle Appleton Jernigan and Glynnis Appleton Warren; grandchildren, Tandy Nicole Lynch (Walt Merriweather), Kara (Daniel) Zahn, Candace (Reed) Harper, Jerad (Erin) Morgan, Rae Anne (Clay) Reynolds and great-grandchildren, Xavier Bell, Cali Zahn, Kaylee Zahn, Emory Zahn, Mary Kate Zahn, Conner Morgan and one on the way.
Tandy was employed by Trane Co., co-owner of Queen City Motorcycles and a hairdresser over the years. A Special thanks to Pennie, Susan, Jeanne, Vanessa, Britt and to Tennova Hospice.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 PM, September 4, 2024, in the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the service hour. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Norris Heggie, Herb Ellis, Dale Dexter, Eddie Weatherford, Glen Appleton Jr. and Jerad Morgan.
