CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Clarksville Transit System (CTS) has once again turned its Spooky Special bus loose on the streets. It’s the 28th year the Spooky Special has traveled throughout Clarksville on Halloween offering free rides to those who dare to board the bus.

How did the Spooky Special get so spooky? Well, you can thank 18 art students from Clarksville Academy (CA) who spent several hours Monday decorating the bus for its scary tour.

Nick Williamson is the Upper Level Art Teacher, Director of Security, and Head Wrestling Coach at the academy. Williamson was also a student at the school and helped paint the bus in 1999. The students are part of the Art Appreciation Studio Art and Life Drawing classes.

There is no trick involved with the Spooky Special, and of course the treat is the free rides on Tuesday, October 30 and Wednesday, October 31. Call CTS at 931-553-2429 to find out the route the Spooky Special will be taking next or see below:
