Hopkinsville, KY. – T.RAD North America Inc. has announced it will be expanding its manufacturing plant in Hopkinsville creating 200 new jobs and investing $25 million. The groundbreaking was held Tuesday, December 2 at Hopkinsville-Christian County’s Commerce Park and was attended by company officials as well as local and state leaders.

The company designs and manufactures heat transfer and cooling systems for the automotive, motorcycle, construction and agricultural industries as well as for the military. Construction on the expansion is already underway with T.RAD planning to add more space to its 180,000-square-foot facility which now employs close to 500 people.

Kentucky Lieutenant Governor Crit Luallen was on hand for the groundbreaking and talked about the benefits for the community. “This is an excellent opportunity for both T.RAD and Kentucky. Matching a great company with our excellent workforce provides a significant boost to our local economy,” said Luallen.

Hopkinsville Mayor Dan Kemp also praised the company for its investment. “T.RAD continues to be an important part of our community by providing quality jobs for our citizens,” Kemp said. The Japanese-owned company recently celebrated 25 years in Hopkinsville-Christian County.
