Review Inspection Results:
Before swimming in a public pool, hot tub/spa, or anywhere else within treated water, check out the inspection results onsite or online.

D.I.Y. Inspection:
See the checklist below to inspect the area first before getting in treated water.
• Water’s pH and Free Chlorine or Bromine Concentration are Correct. *
Proper pH and disinfectant levels help stop the spread of germs in water. Pool and Spa Depot recommends a pH of 7.2-7.8. The free chlorine concentration should be at least 1 ppm in pools and at least 3 ppm in hot tubs/spas. The free bromine concentration should be at least 3ppm in pools and at least 4 ppm in hot tubs/spas.

• See if the Drain at the Bottom of the Deep End is Visible.
The clearer the water, the more visible swimmers are to lifeguards and other swimmers underwater.

• Make Sure Drain Covers at the Bottom Appear to Be Secured and in Good Shape.

• Check to See if a Lifeguard is on Duty. If Not, Safety Equipment, Such as a Rescue Ring or Pole, Will be Available.
If you see any issues during inspection, do NOT get into the water. Inform the person in charge so the problem can be fixed.
