CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A mobile home was destroyed by fire Monday, June 2 around 2:37 a.m. at 850 Lou Ann Lane in Clarksville.
The home was fully engulfed and firefighters with Clarksville Fire Rescue were able to contain the blaze within three hours.
According to Fire Chief Ray Williams, the cause of the fire is unknown, but investigators have ruled out weather and utility-related causes. Williams said power at the home had been shut off since May 16. “We’re looking at it as a suspicious fire,” he said.
No one was home at the time of the fire, and Williams said the residents have not occupied the home recently. The estranged husband and wife, who have three children, have been living in separate locations.
Meth-making products were found in a trash can outside the home, and one person has been arrested on meth-related charges that are not connected to the fire, according to Williams.
The fire is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Chief Ray Williams at 931-645-7462.
