CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A suspicious subject was found with multiple weapons in the parking lot behind the public library at 9:23 p.m. Thursday, February 20.
Clarksville Police Department Officer Brian M. Coghill responded to an unlawful carry/possess weapon call at 350 Pageant Lane and found a male subject sitting in the cab of a car parked in the library lot. Officer Coghill checked on the subject, who was identified as Daniel Joseph Slusher.
Slusher was dressed in all black and wearing a tactical vest. He said he was trying to get a job with a bonding company and was waiting on them. Officer Coghill asked to see Slusher’s driver’s license. Slusher gave the Officer his carry permit and driver’s License. Slusher’s carry permit expired on September 14, 2013.
Officer Coghill got Slusher out of his vehicle and found six knives, handcuffs, two collapsible batons and a .45 caliber handgun. The gun was in a drop leg holster and had one round in the chamber and a full magazine. He had a revolver holster strapped to his vest in front of his chest. The revolver was found under the driver’s seat and was loaded with five rounds.
There were other items found which include: four chemical protective suits, five nerve agent Mark 1 antidote kits, brass knuckles, and ammunition for five or six different weapon types on his person and/or in his vehicle.
Slusher was cited for unlawful carry/possess weapon and prohibited weapons.
