CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Police Department is searching for a suspect wanted for carjacking and robbery in Clarksville.
According to a news release, a victim reported the carjacking Saturday, June 28 around 4:25 a.m. at the Exxon station on Dover Rd. The victim told police a white male in his mid-30s wearing a white hat, white shirt, and blue jeans attacked him in an attempt to take his wallet and car keys.
The attack resulted in a fight between the victim and the suspect throughout the store. The suspect was able to take the car keys from the victim. Before leaving the store, he climbed over the counter at the front and fled the store with the stolen cash register.
The suspect drove off in the victim’s vehicle toward Providence Blvd. Shortly after, officers found the crashed vehicle on Locust Dr., but the suspect had fled the scene on foot and police were unable to locate him.
