MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. – One man has been charged and investigators are seeking another suspect in the theft of three trailers in Montgomery County, according to Jamie Dexter with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Brandon Hembree, 33, who gave a Cumberland Furnace, Tenn. address, was already housed in the Montgomery County Jail and will be served with warrants with a bond totaling $30,000.

Investigators are looking for Charles Hartwell Stanley, 51, the second suspect in the crimes, and they have warrants for him totaling $30,000 in bond.

Investigator Billy Wall was able to identify a vehicle the suspects were driving during one of the thefts because of surveillance video on the property. He tracked down the suspect and obtained a confession in the theft of two other trailers in Montgomery County as well as trailers in Houston County.

Wall was able to retrieve four of the trailers, and is in the process of retrieving the fifth. They have a combined value of nearly $30,000 including the items that were on them.
