CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A man who is a suspect in a fatal College Street shooting has been arrested again, this time on drug charges.
According to an arrest warrant, 20-year-old Tremond Lenor and two other people were involved in a minor crash at 668 Riverside Dr. on Feb. 12.
The officer who responded to the scene smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle.
While officers were checking to make sure the occupants didn’t need medical attention, one officer said he saw Lenor drop a clear plastic bag containing four green pills marked “S903” in an attempt to conceal them.
Officers determined that the pills were Alprazolam, a schedule 4 narcotic.
Police searched the vehicle and found a marijuana cigar and a pack of cigarillos.
Lenor was charged with tampering with evidence, simple possession, and unlawful drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $120,000.
Lenor had been out on bond after he was charged in the May 22, 2015 shooting death of 20-year-old Charles Whitfield on College Street. He and two others were charged with criminal homicide.
