CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) -A Clarksville man has been arrested after attempting to rob the Medicine Shop on Madison Street.
According to Public Information Officer Natalie Hall, police were called to the scene Tuesday at 5:57 p.m. The staff at the Medicine Shop said the man attempted to steal pain pills and fled.
Shortly afterward, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a man who matched the description given by witnesses. The officer positively identified the man by matching his photo to an image from security camera footage at the store.
38-year-old Eric Davis from Clarksville was arrested and booked into Montgomery County Jail.
“This was great teamwork by the staff at the Medicine Shop, the civilian 911 caller outside of the business at the drive-thru, the District 2 CPD Officers on scene, and the District 2 CPD Officer that made the traffic stop on the suspect,” Officer Hall said.
