CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Police Department (CPD) has arrested a suspect who police believe is responsible for at least two armed robberies in Clarksville.
According to a press release from CPD, the first robbery occurred Wednesday at 12:31 a.m. at the Exxon Hi Road near Exit 4 just north of I-24 on Cracker Barrel Dr. The second robbery occurred at 1:44 a.m. at the Exxon Hi Road near Exit 11 just south of I-24 on Hwy 76.
Donzell M. Globe, a 23-year-old Nashville resident, will be charged for both robberies that occurred this morning. The District 3 Criminal Investigations Unit is also investigating the possibility that Globe is connected to the other robberies that have recently occurred along I-24.
Globe, who is listed as homeless, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail Wednesday morning. He was charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, evading arrest, driving on a suspended license, and as a fugitive wanted by another state. His bond was set at $701,000.
