MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. – Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies have taken an adult wanted in connection with a Juvenile Court case into custody.
According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to a home in the 4500 block of Old Metal Road Thursday morning.
The suspect attempted to hide by dropping into the crawlspace from a door in the bedroom floor and then barricaded himself in the crawlspace with a loaded 9 millimeter handgun.
Deputies immediately set up a perimeter around the house. They approached the front door, opened it and loudly notified the suspect of their presence.
The suspect announced his surrender and walked out on his own accord.
Deputies recovered the handgun in the crawlspace. The suspect is now in custody.
Officials cannot release the suspect’s name or details of the case because he is still under the jurisdiction of the Juvenile Courts.
