CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville police are looking for the suspect involved in a drive-by robbery at gunpoint that occurred Thursday, Aug. 9.
According to police, a 24-year-old man was robbed in the parking lot of 1485 Madison Street (Kroger complex) around 10:30 a.m. The victim had just gotten out of his vehicle and was heading toward a store when a man drove up to him in a gold Mercury Marquis and pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at him out of the driver’s side window. The suspect demanded money and threatened to shoot the man.
The victim gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money before the vehicle fled the scene. It was later found empty at Maddox Court. The Marquis had previously been reported stolen out of Todd County, Kentucky on July 25.
The victim was not injured.
The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20s with short hair and an average build and height. He was wearing a black hoodie at the time of the crime.
