CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Police have arrested a suspect in the death of a 15-year-old who was shot at a store on Peachers Mill Road.
On Feb. 2, at approximately 5:42 p.m., Clarksville Police received a 911 call regarding the shooting. The caller was at a location on Stonecrossing Drive, stating his teenage passenger had been shot.
When officers arrived, they found 15-year-old Ikehliayon Hite with a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to Tennova but later died from his injuries. It was determined that the shooting occurred at Chum’s Discount Tobacco Store, 811 Peachers Mill Road.
According to previous Clarksville Now articles, Ikehliayon was a student at Northwest High School.
On Thursday, Feb. 13, CPD announced that Jay Von Farley, 21, was identified and charged with homicide. According to CPD spokesman, Scott Beaubien, Farley was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on Thursday.
“This remains an active and ongoing investigation and additional arrests are anticipated,” Beaubien said.
