CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Sunset Rotary Club welcomed Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett as their guest speaker Tuesday, January 27. Close to two dozen Rotary members listened as Mayor Durrett talked about many of the projects taking place in the county.
The latest information on the new GlenEllen Park, Veterans Nursing Home, work on the R.J. Corman Railroad Bridge, and plans for the barge port were just some of the many projects Durrett discussed with the club.
Durrett also updated the club on the status of Hankook Tire and said the site work is complete but construction hasn’t started yet and the facility will create about 1,800 jobs. He added people would really be surprised at the amount of activity in Montgomery
County for industries looking to locate here.
The Sunset Rotary Club meets each Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at the Looking Glass Restaurant, 329 Warfield Boulevard. To learn more about the organization go to www.sunsetrotarytn.org or email info@sunsetrotarytn.org.
