CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A former Sunday school teacher and volunteer at Spring Creek Baptist Church pleaded guilty to sexual battery this week.
Christopher Crossno was accused of inappropriate contact with a 6-year-old girl at the church during Sunday School in 2012. He was 22 years old at the time.
He entered an open plea Wednesday which resulted in a three year suspended sentence, according to the District Attorney General’s office.
As a result of this plea he will be required to register as a sex offender, he must comply with the sex offender treatment board, and undergo a psychosexual evaluation.
Judge Goodman will hold a sentencing hearing Dec. 3 to determine whether Crossno will be placed on post-trial diversion or probation.
