CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Students, teachers and staff celebrated Valentine’s Day at Sango Elementary School on Friday with halls decked out in red, white and pink.

Sango Elementary School Principal Sherry Baker said she wanted students to enjoy the holiday.

“We wanted Valentine’s Day to be extra special because the kids have not had a lot of normalcy in their lives. We were unable to have our Christmas parties due to closures, and we wanted Valentine’s Day to be tremendously special,” Baker said.

Baker added that during their remote day on Thursday, she was joined by some volunteer moms who decorated the foyer and the cafeteria.
