CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Police Department (CPD) and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) collaborated Aug. 24 to catch a suspect wanted for murder.

The suspect, Savion Stallworth, was wanted in connection to the May 2015 shooting death of a man on College Street.

According to information from Captain Scott Thornton with CPD, Savion Stallworth was attending a Northeast High School sporting event when he was recognized by a School Resource Officer with MCSO. The SRO contacted the police department, who responded to the scene and sealed off all exits before taking Stallworth into custody.

“Training and information sharing between CPD, MCSO, and the Clarksville Montgomery County School System is ongoing and this incident is an example of how all agencies are working together for the safety of the children of our community,” Captain Thornton said.
