CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The National Weather Service is keeping a close eye on the remnants of Tropical Storm Cristobal as it moves from the gulf coast through the central part of the country into Canada.

As far as Middle Tennessee, forecasters say strong to severe storms are possible Monday afternoon thru Tuesday.

“Cristobal will start impacting parts of Middle Tennessee south of the Clarksville area and you might catch a shower or thunderstorm today.  The main impacts will come tomorrow and folks in the Clarksville area will run the risk of a quick spin-up,” said Meteorologist Scott Unger.

The main threat will be strong thunderstorm winds but excessive rainfall is not expected with the remnants of Cristobal.

Thursday through Sunday is anticipated to be rain-free with comfortable temperatures.
