CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Unusually warm spring temperatures Thursday will drop over the weekend as storms roll into Middle Tennessee.
The National Weather Service says strong to severe storms will be possible on Friday and Saturday afternoons for all of Middle Tennessee.
Both afternoons will carry the potential for damaging winds and hail. Of bigger concern, by Saturday afternoon, already saturated grounds will become susceptible to flash flooding.
Friday’s high will be 70 degrees with lows in the mid-50s. Saturday’s high is 69 degrees with temperatures dropping as low as 49 degrees at night.
By Sunday, showers are expected to continue with a high of 61 and a low of 45.
