CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The National Weather Service is calling for a chance of severe storms Wednesday evening into early Thursday morning.
Meteorologist Brittney Whitehead with the weather service in Nashville said a “frontal boundary separating a warm and cold air mass” will move through Wednesday night.
“Right ahead of that boundary, which will be around midnight or so, there could be some strong to severe storms. Our main concern will be damaging winds, hail, and a tornado or two isn’t out of the question,” said Whitehead.
Whitehead added there is also the possibility of some strong thunderstorms developing Wednesday afternoon which will depend on the moisture level.
Looking ahead for Easter weekend, the weather service is forecasting cooler temperatures, with daytime highs in the 60’s and overnight lows in the 30’s and 40’s late this week into the weekend.
