FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. – 2nd Brigade Combat Team (STRIKE), 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) will hold a color casing ceremony prior to the unit’s deployment to Afghanistan.
The ceremony is a military tradition in which deploying units take part in prior to leaving garrison. The “colors,” or flag, represent the unit on the battlefield.
The casing of the colors will be held Thursday, Jan. 23 at 3 p.m. at Campbell Army Airfield Personnel Processing Center.
