CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A special non-voting session of the City Council has been called for Monday, Oct. 21, by Mayor Joe Pitts to address specific stormwater drainage-related issues. The decision comes weeks after Clarksville Now and several residents brought awareness to house flooding around the city.
The meeting is designed to address the City of Clarksville’s role in the matter, as well as provide special guidance for affected property owners. According to a news release, the session will be conducted by Street Department Director David Smith, Grants Director Lauren Winters and Building Codes Director Justin Crosby.
The special session will also mark the City Council’s return to its regular Council Chambers at 106 Public Square. The meeting has been scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Oct. 21.
