CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Thunderstorms with heavy rain and hail rolled through middle Tennessee and Western Kentucky Tuesday morning, with another storm system hitting the area Tuesday evening.
According to Montgomery County Emergency Management Director, Jerry Buchanan, some areas of the county, including Cunningham and Dotsonville, experienced marble size hail but Buchanan said there were no reports of any damage.
Trigg County in Kentucky was under a Tornado Warning for a short time Tuesday evening which was followed by a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Christian County.
The National Weather Service in Paducah reported quarter and golf ball size hail near Cadiz along with strong wind gusts but no touchdown of a tornado.
By the time the storm reached Clarksville it had weakened to just heavy rain with periods of hail.
