CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms will move into our area late this afternoon, but the worst of the storms should stay well south of Clarksville.

This band will continue across the mid-state into the late night hours, according to the National Weather Service, bringing 1.5 to 2 inches of rain in Clarksville.

Localized flooding and a few strong storms are possible. The strongest storms will likely be west of Interstate 65 close to the Tennessee/Alabama border.

We are under a Wind Advisory, with southeast winds 20 to 25 mph and gusts up to 35 mph expected through 10 p.m. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
