NASHVILLE, Tenn. – There is a chance for some severe weather late tonight and early Friday as a line of storms moves through ahead of a cold front.
“The primary threat will be damaging wind and large hail,” said meteorologist Mark Rose with the National Weather Service in Nashville. Expected wind gusts may reach as high as 60 mph.
According to Rose, this is the same system that is threatening parts of the Midwest with tornadoes.

Storms are expected to move out of the area by mid-morning on Friday, followed by mild, cooler weather for the weekend.
