NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The National Weather Service in Nashville has released a preliminary report on storm damage from Saturday night.

Residents in the Dunbar Cave area report some whole trees and many are limbs snapped. Hundreds of residents were without power for several hours while crews worked to repair equipment all over town.

Many Clarksville residents spent yesterday cleaning up the damage.

“There were actually five power poles snapped and power lines trapping vehicles on Highway 79, located about one mile north of Exit 4,” said National Weather Service Meteorologist Bobby Boyd. “The business and industrial park had a 60,000 square foot roof ripped off.”

Rainbow Inc., located at 1051 Industrial Park Rd, received damage for the first time ever during the storm, according to HR Manager and Safety Director Tamara Persinger.
