CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Power outages, downed branches and heavy rain covered the area last night, but there wasn’t much damage.
Montgomery County Emergency Management Director Ed Baggett said Wednesday night’s storms brought flooding in the usual locations, and some trees were reported down over power lines and roadways.
A downed tree damaged a home’s roof on Porter’s Bluff Road, Baggett said. Another tree was reported on a structure on Commerce Street, but no serious damage was reported.
William Eaton of Clarksville sent images that appear to show a tornado in the distance, looking north from near Exit 11.
Baggett said there were no confirmed reports of a tornado in Montgomery County as of Wednesday night, but the National Weather Service was still reviewing data.
As of 9 a.m., the NWS was reporting straight-line winds from Wednesday’s storm but no tornado, said meteorologist Faith Borden.
