CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This weekend’s storm brought 3 inches of rain to Clarksville, according to gauges at the Clarksville Regional Airport.

As that water gathers in local rivers, both the Red and the Cumberland are expected to crest above their flood stages, according to the National Weather Service.

The Red River at Port Royal is under a Flood Warning. The river is expected to rise above its 30-foot flood stage this afternoon to a crest of 31.5 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage Monday morning.

The Cumberland River is under a Flood Warning. The river is expected to rise above the 46-foot flood stage this evening to a crest of 46.8 feet Monday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Monday afternoon.

From here out, skies should be dry, with the next chance of rain coming Wednesday. Today will be chilly, then temperatures will warm up for the next couple of days.
