CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – There’s something new in Clarksville when it comes to storing those items that are important to you, it’s called Storage Solutions which is a weather controlled storage facility protected from the elements and secure for just about whatever you need to store.

Storage Solutions is at 1902 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard and offers a climate controlled building with 134 inside storage units. The units are kept between a minimum of 60 degrees and a maximum of 80 degrees for protection of what ever you have that needs to be taken care of.

The project which is now leasing units is the idea of owner Jeff Burkhart who talked about the facility. “It’s a better alternative to mini storage. I think we’re the first facility that’s all inside and we have units that we are ready to lease with sizes ranging from 5 X 5 to 10 X 30, so we have a variety of any size you want,” said Burkhart.

Burkhart added that his motto was “if it’s worth storing, it’s worth storing right” and this is what we’re doing and we’re competitive with everyone else in town when it comes to prices. Indoor storage facilities are something that is already done in other parts of the state and across the country and now Clarksville has its own site.

When it comes to security there are 17 video cameras located inside and outside the building. Storage Solutions is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday and Sunday 1-5 p.m. Burkhart said that if someone needs 24-hour access to their storage unit, that can also be arranged.

Along with easy access to the building, Storage Solutions Manager Brittany Gehrke pointed out that the entire facility was also handicapped accessible and they had a huge roll-up garage door to make it easier to unload and load. Future expansion for Storage Solutions was also a possibility that Burkhart mentioned.

His work with the Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program has given Burkhart the idea of recycling old building which is what he has done with the Storage Solutions site. He said he enjoys projects that involve taking old buildings and turning them into something that is useful.
