DAVIDSON COUNTY, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash on I-24 West that occurred Saturday morning. A Stewart County man was fatally injured after the vehicle crashed near Spence Lane.
Officials say Steven Giese, 61, of Indian Mound, was identified as the passenger killed in the crash.
Giese was the front passenger of a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer. Reports say the driver, Steven Giese II, 33, of Indian Mound lost control of the SUV at a curve in the roadway. The SUV struck a rock wall on the front passenger side.
Giese was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased. Giese II was not injured in the crash.
There was no evidence of alcohol or drug involvement at the scene.
