A memorial service for Steven Craig Rushing, age 64, of Clarksville, TN, will be Friday, September 27, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until the time of service.
Steve was born on August 2, 1960 in Clarksville, TN, to Louis and Helen Rushing. He was a carpenter and liked building things. Steve enjoyed fishing with his friend Gary, grilling out, and helping others. He also loved his dog, Grizzly, which he had for the last 18 years.
In addition to his parents, Steve is preceded in death by his brother, Darryl Rushing. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Merryman, who has been by his side for the last 25 years; daughter, Staci Rushing; stepdaughter, Robin (Rusty) Hogue; grandchildren, Taylor Rickerson and Mercedes Sharp; great-grandchildren: Hadely and Miles Rickerson, and Bentley Rushing; and siblings: Tammy Garrison, Connie Goodwin, and Kevin Rushing.
Arrangements are in the care of Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory.
