CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Following reports of three traffic fatalities during the past week in Clarksville and surrounding areas, ClarksvilleNow.com asked its readers via Facebook what you think the most dangerous roads are.

We received an overwhelming response. Your comments came very close to the actual statistics, compiled by the Clarksville Police Department (CPD) and submitted by Officer Natalie Hall. The top five most dangerous roadways in Clarksville, based on the number of traffic crashes between Jan. 1 and Nov. 19, 2013, are as follows:

1. Ft. Campbell Blvd. (360)
2. Wilma Rudolph Blvd. (325)
3. Madison St. (203)
4. Trenton Rd. (158)
5. Tiny Town Road (142)
Total crashes: 1,188

CPD said Ft. Campbell Blvd. makes the list of the top five every month, and is viewed as the most dangerous road in Clarksville. Lt. Philip Ashby said according to past statistics, 41-A between Riverside in Clarksville to Hopkinsville, Ky. was one of the most dangerous roads nationwide in the late 1950s to early 1960s.
