CLARKSVILLE, TN – State Rep. Jeff Burkhart, R-Clarksville, was officially sworn in as a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives on Tuesday, Jan. 10.

Burkhart took the oath of office during the first legislative day of the 113th General Assembly. He was elected in November to represent House District 75, which includes part of Montgomery County.

“I am honored to have this unique opportunity to represent the citizens of District 75 in the Tennessee General Assembly,” Burkhart said. “I look forward to working alongside my Republican colleagues on ways to protect our freedoms, keep our communities safe, strengthen education, and support the thriving economy we have in Tennessee.”

Burkhart resides in Clarksville, where he is a real estate developer and a former assistant chief with Clarksville Fire Rescue.
