CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Adopting an animal for your loved one this Christmas is a risky move. But, adopting a barrel of whiskey made right here in Clarksville would be awesome.
In case you didn’t already know, Old Glory Distilling Co. is opening a distillery here in Clarksville, near exit 4 in late January/early February.
They launched a Kickstarter campaign to introduce their Taste Testing Program, new merchandise, and to give people in the community the chance to adopt an actual barrel of whiskey that’s made right here in Clarksville.
The funds raised from the Kickstarter campaign will go directly towards the initial purchase of the grain and whiskey barrels needed to produce Old Glory Distilling Co.’s first batch of spirits in Clarksville.

Official Taste Testers will get exclusive VIP access to Old Glory’s whiskey and bourbon tastings while it’s aging. But they’ll also will be able to taste test new and experimental products Old Glory Distilling Co. will have in the works.
The distillery will host special tasting events for Official Taste Testers only, so they can sample the aging Tennessee Whiskey and Bourbon. Taste testers will have input on when the barrels are ready to be spilled and they’ll have first dibs on purchasing bottles from the barrels.
Official taste testers will also be issued customized Old Glory merchandise. You can become an official taste tester by pledging $250 or more to their Kickstarter campaign here.
Barrel Adopters will be able to stake claim to the 53 Gallon Charred American Oak barrels used to make the first batch of Old Glory Distilling Co. spirits. The Owner’s name of choice or business name will be burned into the barrel head and put on display in Old Glory’s barrel warehouse for everyone to see.
After the barrel’s work is done, in approximately four years, Old Glory will bottle the fine Tennessee Whiskey or Bourbon it’s been caring for, and the empty barrel will be given to the owner along with the first five bottles that the barrel produces. You can become an owner of the first barrels by pledging $500 or more to their Kickstarter campaign here.
You can also pledge smaller amounts to obtain official Old Glory merchandise, including rocks glasses, hats, shirts and flasks.

The Kickstarter fund-raising campaign will end at 10 p.m. on Sunday, December 20.
