CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – We’ve got another week of postseason play going on in Clarksville, and it’s getting real. Several teams have state tournament berths on the line and are fighting to keep the lights on for their seasons. Let’s take a look at the packed schedule.

Softball

Two teams are still playing softball in the Clarksville area. Both of them play Tuesday in the Region 7- 4A tournament semifinals, with Kirkwood hosting Dickson County, and Rossview traveling to Henry County in elimination games. The winners of those two contests will face off Wednesday night for a regional championship, then play a sub-state game on Friday for the right to go to Murfreesboro.

Three teams in Clarksville are still fighting for a state title. Clarksville High and Rossview both have a best-of-three sub-state series on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with the winner of the series heading to the state tournament. The Wildcats host the Houston Mustangs, while the Hawks will travel to Collierville to face the Dragons. Clarksville Academy begins it’s state tournament run with a best-of-three series with Evangelical Christian with a doubleheader at home on Wednesday, with the winner of the series advancing to the state final four.

Soccer

Three teams in Clarksville remain alive on the pitch. Clarksville High travels to West Creek on Tuesday in an elimination game for the Region 7- 4A semifinals, and Rossview hosts Henry County on the other side of the bracket. Those two winners will match up on Thursday for a regional championship. The winner of that will host a sub-state game for the right to go to Murfreesboro, and the loser will travel to Memphis for a sub-state contest.
