CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville police are trying to identify a woman and man involved in the burglary of a SUV.
On December 20 around 11:15 a.m., a 23-year-old woman was stopped at a gas station on the 1600 Block of Fort Campbell when she was approached by another woman in a large red van parked at a gas pump close to her vehicle.
The suspect asked for assistance with the gas pump and asked the victim if she was willing to pay for her gas. The 23-year-old victim declined the request to pay for the gas and went back to her vehicle.
When she returned to the vehicle, her three-year-old son, who was inside the SUV, said someone got in the van and took her cards. When the woman checked her wallet, she notice her debit card was missing.
The unknown woman who approached the victim was in the company of a heavy-set man with a scruffy beard. Police were called, but the man and woman fled the scene in the large red van before officers arrived on scene.
