CLARKSVILLE, TN – The Friends of the Library Spring Used Book Sale returns to the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library, Thursday, April 27.
The opening night will be a Friends-only preview from 4-7 p.m. Anyone may join the Friends of the Library for $5 at the door. The book sale will be open to the public on Friday, April 28 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday, April 29 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The sale will carry over to Sunday, April 30 from 1-4:30 p.m. Sunday will also be the $5 Bag Sale which allows a shopper to fill up a bag of any items for only $5.
New this year, credit cards will now be accepted but will include a processing fee. In addition to cash and checks. Every item costs no more than $1, and all funds go to the Friends of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library.
“Through donations from the community. We have thousands of gently used books, CDs, DVDs, video games, and more ready to be purchased,” said Jennifer Ford, president of The Friends of the Library.
The Friends of the Library is a non-profit organization of people working together to support the library. The Friends not only support the library financially, but they also contribute their time, ideas, and talents. The Friends have generously given funds to the library that enhance special events, and programs.

In addition to the return of the Used Book Sale, The Cumberland Winds Concert Band returns with its annual Spring concert to the library on Saturday, April 29 at 1 p.m. The concert will be held in the atrium of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library and is free to the public.
