The Splash Park at Edith Pettus Park, along with the Dixon Park and Lettie Kendall Park Splash Pads, will close for the season on Monday, September 29.
All three parks’ water features are active from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. through Sunday, September 28.
The Edith Pettus Park Splash Park, located at 345 Farris Drive, is also the largest and newest in the city after its grand opening in May of 2014. It boasts six water features including “misting rings,” “bucket dumps,” and in-ground jets. The area surrounding the splash pad features a grassy picnic area with picnic tables.
