Hemingway
As you may intuit by my “special needs” state I have not been very lucky in love and romance, but I know my true worth. Please remember that the Egyptians worshiped a Cat Goddess (yes, the same ones responsible for the pyramids) and I do not forget that I share the same DNA as my ancestors that were revered by many cultures. I will learn to love again and am hoping that someone will see this profile and find it in their heart to take me home and treat me like the fine, noble creature I know that I am ( I am only two and have my whole life ahead of me!). There is even more of me to love, since I have many extra toes! When visiting please do not interpret my shyness as rejection, instead know that with a bit of quiet and some wet food, I become very affectionate. Unlike the canines that I am forced to tolerate I choose my words wisely and get straight to the point. Please come visit and though I have lost some of my sight and require a bit of patience, I hope you will see what a sweet-natured boy I can be.

Belle
I am more than just a pretty face, though I am called Belle for obvious reasons. My caretakers can testify that I am also a very intelligent girl. I have heard them say that I am the whole package (beauty and brains!). I have been a resident here since the end of February and would love to find my forever home before May. I wonder if the human companions that visit with me are a bit intimidated by my affection and energy. What they may not know is that I am exceptionally well behaved on bike rides and after 30 minutes of cardio all I crave is to snuggle and sleep. I keep pace with the bicycle and mind my manners (I am after all a Southern Belle and when out in the world I make my person look good!). I recognize that I forget myself at times and jump up in greeting but that can be corrected with consistency in my forever home. I confess it is a little confusing as some visitors invite and reward my jumping. I forgive them for that, as they are taken back by my striking features and markings and forget their manners. I believe my caretakers have labeled me a terrier mix but I see myself as a lightning in a bottle mixture of breeds. I would like to thank you in advance for your interest in me but it is time for me to get outside and play.
